  May the Flag Fly Dear Tajikistan

Good morning dear teacher’s dear judges and pupils. Honorable guests. First of all- I would like to say that 24^th of November is very important for our nation.

The day of the state flag of Tajikistan is an official holiday of Tajikistan. It was established in 2009 and is celebrated on November 24.

To honor the national flag- a symbol of the country’s independence, unity and pride.

The flag of Tajikistan is not just a piece of cloth; it is a powerful emblem that represents the nation’s history, culture and aspirations.  Since its adoption, the flag has become a symbol of pride for the Tajik people encapsulating their identity and unity as a nation.

The founder of Pease and National Unity-Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan     His excellency Emomali Rahmon saying:

For us, Tajiks the national flag is a symbol of the perpetuation of the nation, unity and solidarity, national identity and the best means of raising children and youth in the spirit of pride in national statehood and protection of historical and cultural values of our people.

Tajikistan is also home to one of the tallest flagpoles in the world (165) meters, located in the capital of Tajikistan Dushanbe.
